What We're Building

TAKING
PITTSBURGH
TO NEW
HEIGHTS

Top of the Triangle is Pittsburgh's first and only world-class rooftop adventure destination — perched atop the iconic U.S. Steel Tower, the tallest building in Western Pennsylvania at 841 feet.

We're transforming the Tower's legendary former rooftop helipad — once large enough to land three helicopters simultaneously — into a suite of unforgettable experiences for thrill-seekers, tourists, and proud Pittsburghers alike.

From a breathtaking 360° glass-walled observation deck to an I-beam walk that channels the city's steel heritage, Top of the Triangle is Pittsburgh's answer to the world's greatest urban adventure attractions.

Our Story

Jeremy Goldman, Founder

A PITTSBURGH
NATIVE'S
LIFELONG DREAM

"Bringing top-level attractions that I've experienced around the world to downtown Pittsburgh has been a goal for much of my life."

Jeremy Goldman grew up in Pittsburgh playing sports, skiing, rock climbing, and spending summers at overnight camp. His passion for the outdoors and adventure has never dimmed.

After a career representing major outdoor industry brands and consulting for summer camps on zipline and adventure course installations, Jeremy traveled the world with his wife Beth and daughter Hannah — ascending the Burj Khalifa, walking the CN Tower EdgeWalk, and climbing The O2 in London.

Those experiences crystallized a vision: Pittsburgh deserved a world-class rooftop adventure of its own. The U.S. Steel Tower — the city's most iconic skyscraper — was the only logical home for it.

The Building Behind the Adventure

A HISTORY
WORTH
STANDING ON

The U.S. Steel Tower isn't just Pittsburgh's tallest building — it's a monument to the city's industrial soul. Before it becomes Pittsburgh's most thrilling destination, here's where it's been.

1970
The Tower Rises
Completed in 1970 and designed by Harrison & Abramovitz, the U.S. Steel Tower stands 841 feet tall across 64 floors. At completion it was the 8th tallest building in the world — constructed using an unprecedented 44,000 tons of steel. Its distinctive triangular COR-TEN steel frame gives it a signature reddish-brown facade that requires no painting and ages with character.
1970
The Heliport
The rooftop heliport — perched 841 feet above the city — was built into the Tower's original design to serve U.S. Steel's corporate executives. Large enough for three helicopters simultaneously, it stands today as the largest and highest former heliport space in the world — just over an acre — waiting to be reimagined.
1970–2001
Top of the Triangle Restaurant
The Top of the Triangle restaurant on the 62nd floor was a premier Pittsburgh dining destination for over three decades — known for breathtaking panoramic views and an upscale atmosphere. It closed in 2001, but its legacy endures. Its name now lives on in the adventure attraction rising to succeed it.
2027
Top of the Triangle Returns
Over fifty years after the building first opened its doors, Top of the Triangle opens a new chapter — bringing Pittsburgh's most iconic skyscraper back to life as a destination for adventure, exploration, and unforgettable views.
